Data Privacy Agreement

1. Collection of Personal Information

Maranatha Christian Academy of Lapu-Lapu City, Inc. may collect personal information such as your full name, learner reference number, student ID number, address, contact number, email address, date of birth, birthplace, nationality, religion, parent or guardian information, emergency contact details, educational records, enrollment details, uploaded documents, and other information necessary for school services and school operations.

2. Purpose of Collection

Your personal data is collected and processed only for legitimate educational, administrative, and institutional purposes, including but not limited to:

• student registration and enrollment processing;
• verification and maintenance of student information and school records;
• assessment, checking, and validation of submitted requirements and documents;
• communication related to enrollment, billing, announcements, and student concerns;
• generation of reports, certifications, and official school records;
• security, audit, and access control of the school portal and related systems; and
• other school-related services necessary for academic and administrative operations.

3. Storage and Protection of Data

Maranatha Christian Academy of Lapu-Lapu City, Inc. adopts reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, accidental disclosure, misuse, loss, alteration, destruction, or unlawful processing. Personal data shall be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and to preserve official school records where applicable. Once retention is no longer necessary, the school shall take reasonable steps to securely dispose of or anonymize the data, subject to institutional and legal requirements.
